It is here, Spring seems to have appeared suddenly and we are hoping it will not get too cold again now as we are getting our garden sorted out etc…..
Since the last time I wrote we have had two lambs born to our ewe one ram and one ewe, they are very well and we put them in the field last Friday and they are loving it.
Here are some pictures of them.
We have also moved the bees because we thought there would not be enough room when Maria gets some more hives, it has not been a good time for me with them, I was stung on the nose which bloody hurts I can assure you and then this weekend I got stung twice on the neck, they were not very happy for some reason, I reckon it is because they were woken up too soon due to the crappy winter but who can say, I am just hoping they are going to be in a better mood for the rest of the year. Here is a picture of Maria doing her first inspection and it does look like the honey situation is going to be good this year,
Some things have not changed even if the weather has gone mad, the crocus have just finished and the Daffs are just appearing, the fruit trees are just about to bloom so fingers crossed we do not get any more frosts.
We are in the process of putting new posts in the chicken run as the other ones were a bit temporary and have rotted, we have just finished putting a new roof on all our garages, Maria’s fathers and ours plus I am hoping to build a small poly tunnel, plans are being drawn and I will keep you up to date with the progress…….Bye for now…..
