Well, the snow has arrived at last and with a vengeance, it has been quite cold so the snow should give us a good base for the winter sports season, we went to Paseky, our local ski resort yesterday and today, it was not the best conditions but pretty good for the first week of the season and it does look good out of the window with the veg garden under a good blanket.
This last couple of weeks have been quite busy, a while ago we were given a 1950’s Wooden washing machine, it had been sitting outside for a fair while but now we have finished the restoration and it looks very good, they must have been made of pretty stern stuff in those days to turn the handle on it for god knows how long to get things clean.
The best thing we have achieved last week is to get some of Maria’s grandfathers photos on display, thanks to Milli who runs the Cafe Paseky we now have a whole wall full of some of his work which is very satisfying for me after having spent nearly three years scanning in 3800 b/w negatives, I think he would have been quite pleased if he were still around, thanks Milli…..
Well thats it for now, got to get our Christmas cards and shopping done over the next week, should be fun eh!!!!!
