Grey day…

08/10/2012 by mike

That is just about all you can say about the last two days, very grey and plenty of rain, something we did really need.  We had a good day yesterday in the mountains looking for mushrooms, found quite a few really nice Ceps, mostly in one place and now we have enough in store to take us round to next year.

The trees are all changing and it is looking definitely like Autumn, I don’t like this time of year as we don’t spend as much time in the garden yet it is not quite winter, still, I have to admit that it is very beautiful to look at the forests.  Had a mean storm Saturday night, the wind was so strong it felt as though the chalet was shaking.  We have had some lovely sunsets over the mountains and I will put a picture of one at the end of this.

Went with Maria this morning and sorted out the bees for the winter, I am sure she will talk about them on her blog www.mariasblog.co.uk we now hope they will have enough food for the winter, also planted all our bulbs for the spring, each year we add more to the area.
