First of all, welcome to all my readers.
Today I have reached the grand age of 65, I do not feel any different to how I felt yesterday but it is definitely a changing point in my life, I have now officially become a pensioner and all that goes with it. I decided years ago that one day I would start a diary of some sort, I just never got round to doing it until now but we all have to start somewhere. Here we celebrate family birthdays the evening before, so yesterday we got together, ate loads, drank a reasonable amount and generally had a good time. Today I had a extra hour in bed while Maria was out on her morning walk with the dogs, then pottered about for most of the morning. In the afternoon we set off into the mountains looking for wild mushrooms, we did not find any, but we found and picked 3kgs of blackberries, this in itself is pretty amazing because it is very unusual to find any blackberries in this area of Slovakia let alone 3kgs, so, jam making is on the agenda for tomorrow. Exciting stuff eh!!! That just about wraps up our day, the weather has been very humid, but in the mountains things change quite quickly and it looks like rain at the moment, it would be good for the garden. OK, I am off to put this blog online as I have been doing all the setting up using a virtual server on my PC, so here we go.
