Yes, these days are the busiest of the year for us and this year we seem to have more than enough to do, here are two photos taken ten days apart, in the first one the snow has just gone, the grass is brown and the trees are bare, in the second one the grass is green the fields are full of cowslips and it all happens, for those of you in England our Crocus are out and the Daffodils are just starting, at the same time the trees today are full of blossom, the seasons here are so intense and short.
On Saturday we became the proud owners of a couple of lambs, they are going to keep our grass down to a sensible level and will provide us with meat at the end of the year, it is good to have more livestock around the property, also on Friday we went to the Czech Republic and Maria bought a couple more bee hives, the bees we have seem to have survived the winter, in fact the colony looks very healthy and is growing at a fast rate so fingers crossed for the honey this year.
Other jobs we are involved in, cutting up wood for our woodstore, building a fence on the drive to keep out the neighbours, building a fence around the veg garden to keep out the deer and starting all the stuff for the veg garden and flower beds and probably this week we will have to start cutting the grass and hedges, keeps us out of mischief though eh!!!!!!!
